Tammy and Sheri co-own and operate At The Healing Place, located in Liberty, Missouri.

Tammy Barton, a Licensed Massage Therapist, believes in approaching bodywork from a holistic viewpoint.  She is well versed in many bodywork modalities including Swedish massage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Somato Emotional Release, Intuitive Massage, Aura Clearing myofascial release, and Esalen Massage.  When appropriate Tammy uses crystals and essential oils in her practice to enhance the healing process.

Tammy has an Art Degree from William Jewell College and incorporates her artistic abilities in her approach to bodywork.  Tammy believes the "issues are in the tissues" and that in addressing the issues, physically, mentally, and emotionally, your body can heal more quickly and be in full balance and harmony. She also believes that massage and energy work are ways of addressing the issues and restoring the body's natural balance.  Tammy loves connecting with people and through the use of massage and energy work helps bring peace and harmony to their lives.  In doing so she brings balance and harmony into her own life.

Tammy graduated from the Massage Therapy Training Institute in Kansas City, MO in 2004.  Since then, she has added to her studies by completing the Cranio-Sacral Therapy I and II Training and the Somato Emotional Release I Training from Upledger Institute.  She is always continuing her education through taking advanced classes and workshops.

Sheri is a 2009 graduate of the Midwest Institute of Natural Healing in Kansas City, Missouri.  She is trained in Body Somatics, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Somato Emotional Release, and is a Reiki Master.  She works with healing crystals, gemstones and essential oils to enhance the healing process. 

Sheri is a certified Past Life Regression Counselor.  She received her training in Sedona, AZ in 2007 from Mary Elizabeth Raines, a certified hypnotherapist.  She finds this therapy very helpful in releasing unexplained discomfort and emotional pain. 

Sheri has created a line of horoscope and healing gemstone jewelry.  She teaches classes in discovering how the different gemstones can enhance the energies in life and how to make jewelry that not only looks beautiful but is also therapeutic.

Sheri is a graduate of the Curriculum for Living, a Landmark Education program, Cranio Sacral Therapy I and II and Somato Emotional Release through the Upledger Institute.   Sheri continues to expand her knowledge of spiritual and developmental practices by attending workshops, studying A Course in Miracles, teacher assisting at Landmark Education and Upledger training sessions, by reading and by listening to inspirational CD’s.
